Heal up Gerardo and hope he can take at least one Uproar. I considered my position for a moment, and then decided I had was choice. Shit! Even resisting, Shingle cannot take these hits. Sadly, the Uproar ended, and I had to swap Azure out. Here's a cameo from Azure, missing Sleep Powder TWICE IN A FUCKING ROW! NOW'S NOT THE TIME! Given that both Swablu and Pidgeotto both survived a ThunderShock, I didn't want to risk Gerardo getting hammered. Chatot is apparently that good in this hack. Remember when I called Pidgeotto the ace? I lied. It outsped despite the level differences. What, Falkner? That's your last Pokemon, and you're declaring it your winning move! Sadly, that wasn't to Falkner's favour in this match. With the fourth round over, Falkner's ace is down for the count.įarfetch'd got a significant buff in this hack, including a type change to flying/fighting. He's just a cheap bastard.Įven with a type disadvantage, that Pidgeotto put up a valiant effort. This Pidgeotto did some harm with just Tackle. Here's were I thought things would get tricky.Īfter that berry, I lost confidence that another ThunderShock would KO. Glad I swapped Shingle out, but Gerardo's no Rasputin.įalkner's Ace enters. Swablu proved tough enough to survive, and even launch a pathetic attack of its own. Three round, and I brought out the trump card. In the end, we won the second round with a more direct approach. My hopes of increasing Shingle's speed and sweeping Falkner did not go as expected. Murkrow provded to be a tougher opponent. Time for Round One!Ī combination of Pluck and Quick Attacked allowed Hurricane to run circles around Doduo, and win without taking a hit. I'm rather anxious, because I know his team got a buff in this hack. He's got a pretty cool design, if you ask me. Introducing the flying type master, Falkner. With the two trainers down, it was time to battle Falkner. I'm not taking this personally, but I do plan to sticking a rod into your intestines when we're through.

Yes! In other news citizens baffled by brown rain. But seriously, Hurricane was doing an awesome job of it.Īlso, get used to seeing this for a while. This is a flying type gym, so I wanted him to get some spotlight. Jesus christ, they don't even have a railing. I've grinded up my team, and made sure to bring some good teammates, but I can't tell how it'll go down.

For easier viewing, I'll be separating the gym leader battle and the aftermath from the trainers. It seemed that with a Jolteon and Geodude, the fight was set to go smoothly. That's right, the time has finally come to take on the first gym. Fear not, Studmuffin, the king might be dethroned one day. Everything until I end up above the well is scripted climbing, which is shown by the grayed-out Key Items. We have a winner. When I revisited the Well for the Spiritomb event (having saved the game beforehand in case), this was no longer a problem - when I entered and exited the Well, it put me on top of the ladder as I left, meaning that I was able to escape normally.Įdit: I've checked again on an emulator and confirmed that it's a problem for Sacred Gold as well as Storm Silver while doing my Egglocke Challenge - whenever I leave Slowpoke Well, this is what happens. I've had a great deal of fun on Storm Silver, but I've noticed one small glitch - when I was going into Slowpoke Well for the first time (while Team Rocket were still there), attempting to climb the ladder put me above the Well, which meant that I wasn't able to exit the Well until teleported out by Kurt after defeating Team Rocket - moving up, left or right resulting in collision with a barrier and moving down took me straight back into the Well (which was somewhat hazardous on a Nuzlocke run).
